Prague Christmas

Hi everyone!

Another week, another SM Wednesday is here. There are only two more left till the end of 2018, isn’t that crazy?! I mean only one if this one doesn’t count. I can’t believe it. What will 2019 bring? That’s a regular question from me to me.

These thoughts are not on our schedule for today though. This week we are all getting ready for Christmas! As you may already know I am a big Christmas person. I love this time of the year. I already wrote a Christmas related post last week so let me write one more. Last one, I promise! But there’s never enough of Christmas, soooo….

What is Christmas in Prague like?

Prague is a very magical city. It is a city where you can feel the vibe of something miraculous happening during the whole entire year. Nevertheless, since December 1st it’s a whole another level.

It is my second Christmas time here in Prague and I remember last year how grateful and excited I felt. I am still very grateful and excited but nothing can compare to the very first emotion. I felt very honored to have the chance to experience those moments. People from the entire world are coming to Prague to stay here for at least a couple of days to have this opportunity. I am lucky to feel that on daily basis.

Christmas market in the Old Town Square is a must. It’s the center of the Christmas spirit here. It really became mostly a touristic spot, that is true. But for the locals it happens to be just as magical. Sipping hot mulled wine (I think it’s called like that), eating delicious traditional foods such as Trdelník, listening to Christmas carols… There are trees lit up everywhere. You have to see on your own to understand how magical it really is. Simply walking in the streets watching the little squares having their own little Christmas trees and decorations while sipping coffee is a pleasure itself.

Dear Prague, you really are fairy.

Now let’s count down days till the Christmas finally arrives.

Have the most beautiful week, my dear friends. Wherever you are, whoever you’re with. Make sure you make the most of it.

Merry Christmas ❤️

With love,

x Kristýna
