When The Sun Goes Down

Hello world!

The #SMWednesday is like fresh air for me, seriously. It makes me feel so excited and happy and thrilled every single week. I am so thankful for you; yes, you who are reading this little creation of mine. Thank you 🧡

Today I decided to do something a little bit different. Let’s let all the organized topics go & simply talk, have a conversation. As a human with another human. How are you? Are you enjoying summer? It is almost at the end, you’re right, but even the last days count, no? What is your favourite memory of the magical summer days? Share your stories with me, I can’t wait to read them all!

I don’t care how “unprofessional” this is going to sound but this time I have no plan for the blog post. And believe me or not, on purpose.

Let me explain.

I want to stop being organized and planned in advance for a minute or two, and simply type. The following lines are going to be my thoughts which cross my mind along while I am writing the text among these pictures. I think I will do this from time to time in the future. It is refreshing. And speaking about the pictures that I have chosen and decided to share this week, there are a lot of memories in relation to them. It was the first ever photoshoot on a more professional level for Stylemotivations and I remember I was so grateful and excited. I still am and will be every single time I shoot and create magic with my dear friend, but it was the first time, you know. It was the first shoot of many. The preparation took so long. I wanted everything to be perfect. We had to find a perfect place, perfect outfit, great vision and idea, time, pleasant weather… Oh boy, it is a lot of work and planning. I already talked about what is it actually like to take all the “perfect” pictures, so if you fancy a look, here it is. Sometimes it gets pretty interesting. And extra, I’m not gonna lie.

A little side thought: Anybody who is creating in any kind of way, or simply anybody who likes to get inspired..where do you, guys, get the inspiration from? The open-minded attitude and willingness to keep your eyes wide open is key in the creative process so I wonder what is your source of inspiration? If it is not a secret ingredience to your magic I am more than ready to listen 🙂

I, personally, tend to surround myself with objects that inspire me. Things that carry ceratin meaning for me or a memory that plays a big part in the result of who I am today. Books with magical paintings or beautiful text. Sometimes when I write I like to open a book for no specific reason and just feel the paper and sense the story behind the story written. Photographs of my favorite people. Little presents I got from different  parts of the world and which carry the energy of the place where they were made and come from. Shells from the sea, old magazines, notebooks filled with notes, reflections and ideas. I could go on and on, but basically wherever I spend the most of my time; whatever corner, table or room it is, that’s where the treasures and my source of inspiration are kept.

Also the people around you, not only those you know in person, places you visit for the first time, or places you love and have visited a million & one times; nature,… It is everywhere around us and I love the thought, to be honest, that there is inspiration in every single aspect of this world. You just have to look for it.

Now back to my primary thought. In the end we found the perfect area, chose the most convenient day and time (golden hour is the secret) and we went for it. We didn’t know what to expect. We both only knew we wanted to do something different. The results were more than fulfilling and I remember looking at the pictures and thinking “who is that girl? Is that even me?’ And that is how we became a team. Literally. Because every single photo you see in this blog post and in the previous ones since the new era of SM is a work of two people cooperating. And that is something I appreciate so much, more than I can possibly explain with words. What I have learnt so far is how important and benefitial it is to let the other person’s mind and ideas free in the process. Because usually they add what you are missing or may not have ever thought of before. That’s how new perspective and vision are being created.

Oh and last but not least! What do you think about those pants? Another trend I was avoiding for so long to be  honest. I know there are mixed feelings about this trend and I have heard both opinions. However, I find it very important to rely 99,9% on your own experience so here I am giving it a try. I must admit that even though it does not belong to the peices I would wear 24/7 I do feel good wearing it, and that’s what matters the most in the end, right?

Alright, I am done with my train of thoughts for now. I hope you enjoyed this little chill break and next week back to the schedule. I do like this spontaneous brainstorming but yet I cannot wait to share what I have prepared for you next!

See you next Wednesday!

with love,

x Kristýna
